The Bull Hotel

Lovely staff, location was great for Cadwell Park.

Rooms really need a lot of work to put them in good order, shabby, dated and not very clean. Bedding was fine but the rest left quite a bit to be desired.

The breakfast and evening meals were very good. My husband chose full English and I chose the vegetarian option, the toast was good freshly done. For the evening meal my husband chose the gammon steak with egg and pineapple, all very tasty. I chose the tapas, mushroom and cheese pancake. That was very tasty and just the right size as I wasn't very hungry.

Our bedroom was much too hot and the tiny bathroom was so hot, all night. The radiator in the bathroom, right next to the toilet was scalding hot if you happened to touch it with your leg. We didn't attempt the shower so found it difficult to wash in the small sink. The shelf was in the way when you leaned forward to rinse your teeth ! The toilet seat needs fixing properly as it kept sliding to the side! Although the mattress was comfortable, because of the temperature in the room it was difficult to get to sleep, the duvet was very hot.

This is a 600 year old former coaching Inn so floorboards creak and some doors quite low Great and so were all the staff and the beers and the food and lastly the bed super comfy Thank you everyone at The Bull for a great stay

The location was ideal for my needs. There was a good selection on the menu for food and drinks. The ploughman’s was very good and the cider was cold & crisp. Went out of their way to provide a packed lunch when i told them that I would be leaving before breakfast. Great staff.

This is a great value for money hotel - £65 for a single room for the night. It did exceed my expectations.

The staff were more than helpful, very friendly and couldnt do enough for us. The breakfast was absolutely spot on, more than enough to choose from, and ample portions. This is definitely a place we would return to.

We didn't like the place because it was dirty, dusty everywhere. The shower wasn't clean, nor was the room or the entire place. The room was small, with no air conditioning, and the window overlooked walls and a chimney. We don't recommend this place. This was our first and last time there. We're very disappointed with this place. The only thing I can say is that the breakfast itself was tasty, but the table was sticky, and the glasses were dirty. I'm very dissatisfied with the cleanliness of this place. 😡🤬
