The Rochford Hotel

Breakfast was excellent. Staff were very helpful & pleasant

Car park was very small so parking non existent,, we chose the hotel because it states parking available, didn't realise we would have to park in a public car park. The hotel had a taxi booking service which was excellent but the drivers wanted cash only which we didn't know until we were on our journey, the driver offered to take us to a cash point!!! If the taxis are cash only, this should be pointed out before bpoking

It was ok for overnight stay we had a room on the ground floor which was nice and there was parking on site

Felt the bathroom could do with a bit of a refreshing and painting water was not very hot either

I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless you are a guest at a wedding in the venue or have checked there is not a wedding on. There was a wedding on when we stayed and loud music until midnight then noise from the wedding guests after that. I could hear it even through ear plugs. The hotel should warn anyone in advance if they have booked and there is going to be a wedding so they can book somewhere else if they want a good night sleep. We had to be up early for an event the next and got little sleep so we were very tired. The room also smelled quite strongly of damp.

The room was comfortable and a decent size with plenty of storage. Nice touch with bottles of water in the room. Definitely a very good rate for the room with breakfast included.

The bed was uncomfortable as were the pillows. The kettle had stale water in it. We were woken early with noise both outside then inside too. The handset didn't work properly for the TV.
