"The Coledale Inn delivered a great base to undertake activities in the local area."

8.0

Breakfast starts a little late if you have a long walk planned (and need to get on); would be nice to have some fresh fruit available. Everywhere was very clean and tidy and yet there wasn't lots of rules. It was very busy early in the evening 6 through 8pm, but emptied quickly after that (booking tables was available)

Would of liked a secure drying area, to enable drying of boots and waterproofs

"Really nice base for the weekend"

10.0

Good location Nice little base for the weekend as it was close to relatives who live in the area as well as other realitives staying in other accommodation Quiet Very friendly staff Very welcoming Dog friendly

Don’t think there was anything that needed to be better other than maybe breakfast starting a bit earlier but I understand why it’s only 8-9 being a small place to stay

"Nice hotel and good location."

7.0

The room was nice and clean. The bed was comfortable and the location was great for Grisedale Pike and surrounding walks. The breakfast was nice and there is a selection of juices, toast and cereals on top of the full English breakfast etc.

We stayed on a Saturday night and on arrival all the tables in the bar were booked for around 6.30pm-7pm. They do have a dining room but the vibe isn’t quite the same. We decided to eat at the Royal Oak around the corner, which was lovely, so can’t comment on the bar food. The drinks were very expensive £21 for a wine and a pint of Guinness, so worth factoring that in.
