Booked on a whim for one night as we were visiting an old friend so we managed to see more of her. The hotel is down a lane in very quiet surroundings. Beautifully presented hotel with very friendly staff who go above and beyond. Had an evening meal before bed which was lovely and the inclusive breakfast was great too. Will definitely be booking again.

The stairs to our bedroom...but that's on me as I used Booking.com not directly through the hotel. Found out they have ground floor rooms too (I suffer from arthritis) so will book one next time. No complaints at all with our stay.

We had a very relaxed and chilled stay at The Hogs Head, the staff were polite and very friendly. The cooked breakfast was excellent and we would certainly stay again if we were in this area again. Great location near to M1 exit.

Some areas of the hotel including the breakfast area were a little dark mainly due to dark wooden decor.

The bedroom was tiny and didn’t look anything like any of the photos on their website or Booking.com. The bed was like a trampoline so every time my partner or I moved the other was woken by the movement as we were flung around on our side of the bed! The walls are so thin you can hear everything from other rooms and at 7.10 an alarm went off on the electric radiator. The breakfast was ok but we had to go looking for the server and when we left there was no goodbye or hope expressed that we had had a good stay; just a perfunctory glance as we handed back the key.
