"Great location, comfortable rooms and excellent food"

Great rural location with lovely relaxing garden and plenty of walks nearby. Comfortable rooms well equipped with nice touches like fresh milk and cordial in the fridge. Interesting innovative food menu which was delicious.

"Lovely country pub & rooms with nice gardens."

Lovely location, and friendly staff. Room was nicely specified and very clean and comfortable. Dinner was excellent and the beer garden/outside seating was beautiful. Good location with lots of walks from the doorstep and good access to nearby Lewes. Dog friendly (in the pub & the rooms). Well recommended, I would stay again

The location is special and the staff lovely.Some naive but mean well. Very positive team..

The food was the worst we've ever had.Terrible and expensive. At breakfast,again very odd..flies,no windows open, hot and slug trails across the conservatory carpet.This pub had a great reputation for food years ago. Its now trashed sadly.Accomodation in 2 different rooms over two nights (we knew ahead),one was an oven and the second above the kitchen with extractor noice. AstroTurf roof terrace with half dead plants.Full ash trays everywhere. Definitely avoid..we are we were left £680 down after 3 nights.Decided to give another chance on last night gorgon French bread sandwich with a left over hollandaise from breakfast.Terrkble.
