Novo Hotel Chongqing

I spent there only one night waiting for my train departure from Chongqing North train station. For this purpose the location was perfect. 5min walking distance to the station. The lady at the reception was very kind and patient when I had problems with the local payment system. She was understanding and supportive. Good pre-arrival communication. Reception is sending detailed instructions how to use public transport to reach the hotel from the airport. Very helpful.

Not really a minus but personally I had difficulties to find the entrance to the hotel. Just a tip for iphone maps app users: it’s easier to navigate to litian hotel or viena international hotel. It’s the same building (if you stay with your face in front of viena hotel the entrance to novo will be around left corner).

It’s very clean and tidy, and the room is so pretty with different room topics! It’s very convenient to go to the center of the city because of two metro lines. The staffs are so friendly, so I’m very grateful.

Terrible location, on the outskirts and not city center. Hotel entrance is dirty and sketchy, don’t feel safe. People are gambling downstairs, not comfortable for us. Not recommend for tourists since it’s so far away from town and attractions. We originally payed for 3 nights, but left after only one night since we didn’t feel safe.

Very convenient for Chongqing North station which was my main criteria. Room very good size and clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Not much other facilities at hotel.
