Samara Palm Lodge

Loved it so much I stayed here twice! Clean and comfortable, and the hosts are really welcoming and soooo helpful with taxis, advice about travel etc. a great spot and a great location!

Loved staying here- a quiet little oasis close to the beach, shops and restaurants. Really safe and run by a lovely couple who make you feel very welcome and at home. Fab for solo travellers, and very clean and comfortable! One of my favourite spots on my trip.

Small resort with 2 houses. Nice wooden balcony and raw wood room furniture. Good pool. Recommended breakfast. Lothar is an attentious host. Shop, laundry+café (recommend iWash), ATM 500meters, beach also the same. Recommend the soda eatery La Perla approx 1km westwards.

All was fine. Note that driving to Samara from Nicoya can be 3/4 hr behind a lorry as is a busy and winding road.

Wonderful accommodation, super helpful host who told us the best beaches and lent us a cool box for our day trips. Highly recommended.

Nothing to dislike!

I wish we had stayed more than one night! Friendly hosts and staff, extremely clean, pool area is a beautiful oasis with lovely landscaping and plants. Room (superior double room) was clean with air conditioning, fan, mini fridge and locking drawer. At check-in, Brigitte provided us with a very handy color coded map of the area with terrific recommendations! The beach was about a 5 minute walk away, and the furthest we ever walked to shops/restaurants was only 10 minutes. There were several markets, hardware store, and a bakery very close by. We parked our rental car on the main road just across from the lodge, and never needed to move it. Beach towels were provided in the room which was handy.

Room was nice and clean, AC worked really well even on hot nights, breakfast was delicious, and we loved being able to come back to the pool after a day at the beach!
