Casa Marisa 2.0

La ubicació és inmillorable i les instal·lacions molt cuidades recullen la tradició de la zona.

Els lavabos eren bastant precaris en quant a la dutxa. No hi ha havia gairebé pressió i la temperatura era molt freda. Haguessim agraït un ventilador a cada habitació.

O chuveiro não possuia água quente. Os preços praticados são muito altos, face a escassez de opções próximas ao Hotel.

La vue de notre chambre donnait directement sur le Pico de Fogo, c’était un moment suspendu et magique que nous avons vécu ! Elle a un jardin de succulente, c’est super joli ! Marisa est super sympa, elle parle français ce qui est un plus pour nous. Nous avons mangé l’intégralité de nos repas chez elle, mise à part un soir chez Vava notre guide pour l’ascension du volcan. Si un jour, l’occasion se présente de revenir à Fogo, nous reviendrons sans hésiter chez elle !

Un ventilateur fonctionnel serait un plus dans la chambre, nous avons dormi la porte ouverte. Il n’y avait pas d’eau chaude sur l’ensemble du séjour mais cela ne nous a pas posé de problème en vu de la chaleur.

L’emplacement est idéal : on ne peut pas rêver mieux pour profiter du Volcan ! La vue est tout simplement à couper le souffle. Les petits-déjeuners sont délicieux et très copieux, tout comme les plats proposés aux déjeuners et au dîners. Marisa s’est occupée de nos transferts à l’arrivée et au départ, et nous a mis en contact avec un guide pour organiser notre ascension. Avec deux enfants, nous avons choisi de gravir le Petit Pico, de découvrir les coulées de lave et de visiter une grotte. Près de 4 heures de randonnée, parfait pour notre famille. Je recommande vivement ce lieu extraordinaire !

The location and the views are beautiful. The hammocks on the terrace are nice!

The Funcu hat a really strong drainage smell, but when I asked about it, they only gave me a disbelief look and a roomspray. The stinky smell woke me up at night and I had to regularly put water down the drain in order to get a little peace. Only cold water with no pressure because out of the tanks without pumps. The pillows are the most uncomfortable. Couldn’t use them. Not a good sleep. Breakfast: had to settle for cake and yogurt. The bread was old and chewy. One day eggs, no fork to eat them though. Only coffee, not ok for someone can’t drink or like coffee. The fist day was a little juice. The second day not. The guy (perhaps owner) never greeted us, only a look with a sour face; probably because on the first day I didn’t take up on his over priced wine and food and we went to eat somewhere else instead. Very unprofessional. We went to eat out at the other place after that every day!

The whole village was buried by lava in 1991. The village collectively decided to rebuild. Thus the location, next to Pico do Fogo, is otherworldly. Like Mars. So, that is the setting. We met Mountain Guide Mustafa, one of the proprietors. Coolest dude ever. He has heck of a life story to tell. Casa Marisa is rustic and Perfect considering the wild location. It is not easy to build on hardened lava. I absolutely recommend staying at Casa Marisa. Awesome Place! And try climbing Pico do Fogo, or the other easier hikes. Or the myriad other activities offered.
