Hotel La Principessa

Great location, amazing breakfast

Welcoming staff, close to the old city and clean.

We arrived in summer and our room was very hot and had no air-conditioning.

A pretty hotel in a quiet street (or at least, in relation to other reviews, quiet during my visit) opposite a rather splendid Medieval building and 2 minutes away from the main square. There’s a small terrace area. My room, with a little sofa area and a nice bathroom, was charming, with a mix of traditional and contemporary decoration, and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. The staff were welcoming and efficient – they were particularly helpful and accommodating when a potential train strike meant that I had to shorten my stay at the last minute.

There’s no lift to the top floor but the staff speedily took control of my luggage.

The hotel is very nice, located in the city centre of one of the most beautiful German old towns, Hameln,. Parking is available. The hosts are very helpful and friendly, rooms are nice, and breakfast is very impressive, one of the best we have had in Germany. You feel at home and wish you could stay more days. Highly Recommended, we look forward to come back

Beautiful rooms and very central location

No air conditioning

Small rooms with terrible interiors that did´nt feel tidy. Breakfast with a minimal variation and long waitingtime before it was filled up. Limited "safe" parkingspace. View from the backyard of hotel was a worn apartmenthuse with a very untidy yard. etc etc It´s a real pity thou the location is good and exteriors of the frontside of hotel cosy. We have during the years stayed at over 100 different german hotels and this is not by the 90 best.

I have stayed in this hotel lots of times (>10). Usually its business trips lasting from 2 to 8 nights. Hotel has perfect location from city center and is not in noisy area. It has parking spots if not just next to hotel, then 50m away in special parking area. Rooms are quite similar in general, its a bit strange just under the roof on the top floor, but since I have tried many of these, cant tell that there is a quality difference in between, so that is a very positive point. Rooms are equiped with everything basic, its clean and cleaned every day, no additional "pets" like mice :). i have stayed there in summer and there was no flies or mosquitos. Wifi is something similar to all remaining Germany - sometimes its poor or not working (in quite rara cases). Its not a big or lasting problem in general, but happens time to time. Breakfast is perfect. Nice selection of everything and its not too much :) so in general - thumbs up. it would be 4.5 as last point, but friendly receiptionist makes it 5 :) She speaks with slight accent and this gives La Principessa bonus point for "italian feel" in Germany :) Good work !
