Almhotel Grünsteinblick - Adults only

Ein liebevoll eingerichtetes Hotel mit schönem Außenbereich für einen entspannten Sommer-Aufenthalt. Sehr hübsch eingerichtetes Zimmer , wir hatten wohl ein upgrade in eine kleine Suite . Dankeschön dafür! Supertolles Badezimmer, gute Betten. Sehr nettes Personal. Das Zimmer und alle allgemeinen Bereiche hervorragend sauber und sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. Gefüllter Kühlschrank für die Gäste auf Vertrauensbasis zum selbstbezahlen im Haus mit erfrischenden Getränken. Super gut funktionierende W -Lan.

Zu unserer Reisezeit war es über 30 Grad warm (dafür kann das Hotel aber nichts!) und es gibt keine Klima-Anlage, was aus ökologischen und ökonomischen Gründen ja auch Sinn macht, da hätte ich mir dann aber Moskitogitter an dem ein oder anderen Fenster für insektenfreies Durchlüften gewünscht. Wir hatten ein Balkon- Zimmer mit Bergblick gebucht, das war auch wirklich wunderschön, nur hatten wir dummerweise nicht bedacht, dass es im August heiß ist und Zimmer mit Bergblick unter Umständen Abendsonne heißt, so dass der Balkon ohne Sonnenschirm dann leider nicht zu genießen ist. Das allerdings ist allein mein Fehler, ich hätte schattiges Zimmer buchen sollen....

Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Das Ambiente ist sehr schön und wenn Personal da war, war dieses auch sehr freundlich.

Die Beschreibung in Booking ist irreführend, denn hier handelt es sich um ein Hotel Garni ohne Restaurant. Darüber wird man aber erst nach verbindlicher nicht kostenfrei stornierbarer Buchung per email informiert. Zudem gibt es auch keinerlei Bewirtung außer einem SB-Kühlschrank mit Bier, Radler, Cola und Wasser. Unsere Suite war zwar sehr schön. Aber ein offenes Bad im Schlafzimmer ohne Türe in dem sich die einzige Toilette befindet, ist ehrlich gesagt nicht akzeptabel.

Great location, walkable distance from the cable station and the lake, but still higher positioned, which gave a great view and peaceful time. The outdoor whirpool was a bliss, considering that we did many hikes during the daytime. All the stuff members were super friendly.

The location is very close to the Jenner cableway . ( less than 200 meters )

delicious breakfast, best pancakes. beds were comfy. clean well presented room. kitchen staff and the young receptionist were friendly

It would be great if the room had a bar fridge or a communal fridge to store food or toaster to use. unsure if the value for money is there.

The holiday was advertised and sold as a high end stay with organic breakfast, large spa area and superb restaurant with a four course meal. The chef fell suddenly ill and couldn't be replaced, which we understand. The hosts provided this information on 26th July by email and offered to either cancel the stay if we wished to - or offered a rebate on the price for the lack of the four course meal . However, the email did NOT contain how much they would take off the price. This turned out to be only €60.00 per day in total, which was in no way sufficient for a two course (let alone a four course) meal elsewhere. The owner of the hotel explained that the information was timely (which we disagree on) and offered us to find something elsewhere, which would have been quitr disruptive to our vacation. Hence,.we got on with it (just like with the cold breakfast eggs, the baked-from-frozen and then under-baked rolls, the lack of the advertised bar and rather bijou spa area), but all in all we did not feel that this stay was value for money.
