Galapagos Verde Azul

The place was clean and the breakfast decent. The pool was cool but clean and nice. It's in a quieter local neighbourhood just minutes from the tourist area

Toilet in room leaked so changed rooms. Then that toilet broke and got it fixed same day. Sometimes they didn't have toilet paper so we conserved.

We like the breakfast, and the staff were very friendly and helpful

The room had constant bugs and a nauseating smell.

The front desk were very attentive to our questions and help with a taxi to Baltra.

I chose this hotel for our last night in Santa Cruz because of the positive reviews. I feel like it is showing some wear, the beds were very hard and you could feel the springs. Our room had windows but they were above our heads and covered with a white film so you could not look out. In the photos the pool appears to be on the ground level outside but it is elevated and covered and did not look very inviting. There are a lot of choices of places to stay in this town and I wished I had chosen another spot. The location is about 4 blocks to the edge of the Malecon and close to the Darwin Station. Our fist three days were at the other end of the Malecon so it was nice seeing this end on our last night in the Galapagos.

We LOVED this property! The staff was incredible, the hotel is walking distance to all things waterfront and the breakfast was a delicious bonus. We had fresh water daily to fill our water bottles at no charge. The room was spacious and immaculate. Will would stay here again in a heartbeat.
