Could not get an Uber or local taxi for love nor money, had to drive to a function which we would usually take a taxi to

2 night stay The room we stayed in was squirrel. it was extremely clean also with some nice extras. Breakfast was really nice and cooked to my liking. The pub/restaurant has loads of history and is very interesting.

Location was perfect for us as we were attending a family wedding close by. The rooms were very comfortable and clean and of a good size. The food in the restaurant was good with plenty of choice. We had dinner on one night.

Breakfast service didn't start until 8.30 and we could have done with it a bit earlier - just personal preference though. There was quite a lot of noise from the garden but thankfully that stopped before midnight.

Room was fine.

On arrival Sunday evening we were told “we’re not open on Monday”. We asked about breakfast “ there’s the place down the road, it’s a bit of a truck stop “.

Very welcoming, beautiful rooms very spacious and clean. Staff were amazing and were so helpful.

Comfortable rooms, nicely decorated and loved the old beams. Friendly staff who were very welcoming and helpful. Great location (easy to get to) and quiet at night. They even made us a vegan breakfast on request. Pub has lovely mix of little rooms to sit in and have food / drink and it is cosy and comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

Floor boards are a little creaky but that’s expected in an older building.
