Impressed that they offered continental breakfast at 5.30am for guests catching the ferry

It doesn’t have kerb appeal but the staff were very welcoming

Went here on my partner's birthday 5th September. She is vegetarian and we had had a decent meal here the previous night so as we could take the dog, we decided to go again. Unfortunately the service has to be described as the worst I have experienced in many years. My partner ordered a vegetarian salad and found a lump of meat in it. When pointed out to the waitress ger answer was "oh". She then immediately turned to others and asked if they were waiting for a table. Not even an apology. The barmen who were behind the bar on that night were unable to cope with very much and one could be described as useless all together. Even when I was waiting to pay I was the only person waiting at the bar for what was too long and then another couple came up and he tried to attend to them first! Until I let him know that I wasn't pleased.

Good price for centrally located digs. Nice staff. Good food .

Its basic but clean and good value

The hotel is in a good location, handy for the shops with a large car park nearby. The room was comfortable and staff were very helpful. Breakfast was good too.

If staying here on a Saturday night, refuse to stay in Room 16 which is directly above the live music room. The staff do not tell you this when checking in. Even tho I’ve written a letter of complaint, the response was just mere platitudes. There are far nicer establishments to stay in Stornoway.
