Good location. Really nice staff. Excellent dinner and great cooked breakfast as a buffet. History of the original house is fascinating and the internal stairs is beautiful with a historic stained glass window which attracts interest from many. Loads of character . Highly recommended.

This hotel has a 4 star sign outside but not sure when it actually received that rating. The staff were friendly and room ok. 2 comfy seats which we appreciated and large comfy bed. Room had been upgraded in certain areas. The poor veranda double glazing was now not working efficiently so there was a haze over the window. Which obscured very nice location and park across from hotel. Outside veranda needed weeding and cleaning up. Food in evening excellent . Lady with dark hair very friendly but had hands full training staff. She did a super job. Pleasant at all times. Breakfast Saturday very good with super choices ,Sunday was like eating in a different hotel.,very poor buffet. Eggs inedible. Everything lying out too long and absolutely no choices outwith buffet. Looked as if great chef from previous evening had a day off !! This hotel could be a super place if they renovated, simple tidied up gardens at front and verandas,,adding some better outside furniture with parasols,and hireing extra staff. But making sure they kept excellent evening chef!!! Wel

Central Hotel Happy with everything.

Amazing architecture. There were many origanal features of the property still in situ including the beatiful ceiling above the main staircase and stained glass on it. The staff were all very helpful and friendly, with a particular shout out to the receptionist and breakfast waitress. Loved the smoked salmon for breakfast.

The view frim room 15 was disappointing but the room itself had everything we needed fot a one night stay.
