The Panmure Arms Hotel

Very nice room with four poster bed. Dinner was very nice - freshly cooked and hot!

The steak dinner. It was excellent. The private room for a small group was perfect.

The Car Park was small and disorganised but there was lots of street parking.

Breakfast was not included in the room price. However, it was quite acceptable and promptly served. Typical hotel breakfast. The room was very clean and comfortable with the usual amenities although a second packet of biscuits would have been appreciated. The wooden bed frame was of high quality but extended beyond what you would expect therefore causing a trip or shin bashing hazard. Bed linen and towels were of exceptional quality. There was a very nice new carpet which was in keeping with the rest of the room.

The room had obviously fairly recently redecorated and an ensuite added. It was small but adequate but lacked small refinements like a hook, shelves to lay things and a toilet roll holder. The shower was good, smallish but adequate but again there was nowhere to place to stand shampoo or shower gel which is a problem for the slightly less supple pensioner. No lift was available but given enough time, the stair was manageable again for the less able pensioner.
