Excellent service by friendly staff. Room and communal areas very clean. Excellent food and drink at a reasonable price.

Parking was easy. The staff were generally friendly. We liked the old-fashioned appearance of the hotel and the room. The shower was good and the towels were fluffy. We enjoyed a nice walk along the High Street of Edzell on a pleasant summer's evening.

The bed was softer than we prefer. It was not a good night's sleep for us. Things like coffee, tea and toilet rolls seemed rationed in the room. However, I should add that when we did ask for more of anything, it was given. On arrival, there was no offer to help us upstairs with our cases. We believed breakfast was included in the cost, but it wasn't.

Great room in a stunning little town. Our room had a big looks like newly refurbished bathroom. We had a lovely meal at the on-site restaurant.

Good food, comfortable beds polite friendly staff. Good ambiance.

Asked about non-slip mats in the bath. As we’re both over 80 falling is a distinct possibility. I was told that due to health and safety, mats in the bath are not allowed. Seems daft but there you are. ‘

Breakfast good quality and filling. Location on Main Street of Edzell very helpful. Very good menu choice in restaurant . Very good food. Staff very helpful especially manager who stored our bicycles securely overnight.
