Red Lion

Good sleep good shower.

When I'd checked in and paid i was informed that the chef was off and evening meals were not available; and neither was breakfast. In the evening I went to meet friends in a nearby village but returned about nine to enjoy a couple of pints in the Red Lion ... Except it was closed!!! A neighbouring pub said they close at eight most nights. Parking is a bit tricky too. I was advised about free parking a few hundred yards away. Probably wouldn't stay again

We could come and go as we pleased

The pub closed really early

staff friendly and facilities clean ..even had sachets of hot chocolate big tick for us

Was a late decision so this location suited us as friends visited us from a nearby village . The pub was nice and cosy and we would stop again .

Shame a bank holiday Monday as sadly red lion s kitchen closed and we had been recommended to eat there .ps curry down the road fine

All the staff were very friendly and the room was clean,comfy and quiet. In the evening joined the quiz night which was great fun

Room was lovely and location and parking was good.

Breakfast was not available, but plenty of eateries around the town

Although the Red Lion is in the centre of town, it was very quiet in the room.

Nothing to dislike.
