St Magnus Bay Hotel

Personal attention of all staff. Excellent food. Warm & welcoming word burner in bar area.

Old style hospitality. Very welcoming and obliging

Not a complaint ~ but I did struggle with the stairs. However this is my fault for not enquiring at time of booking if there would be stairs.

Location, easy parking great views. Big room and very quiet

Bathroom had a drainy smell on arrival. Limited vegetarian menu for evening meals

The level of hospitality and service was great, with friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was all that I could ask for and the evening meals were of a high standard. The locations is wonderful and I am looking forward to my next visit

Nothing could have been better

The hotel was fantastic, it is based in such beautiful surroundings, it is an older hotel but certainly doesn't feel that way once you get inside. The staff are brilliant and are only too happy to help, there is always someone round and about if you need anything. The food was amazing, freshly cooked and healthy portion sizes too!

Nothing negative other than we didn't want to leave!

Breakfast was standard cuisine. It was fresh and wholesome. Being a family run hotel it was a little short of staff but it was more than adequate. No lift but the staff helped with the luggage. Excellent location and large rooms.

I have difficulty with stairs but by taking one's time all good. Would stay there again

Far away from hustle and bustle, this hotel has it all: nice and very quiet location, nice rooms, a good restaurant, a bar, friendly staff, parking space.

Staff were very friendly, especially the guy on breakfast duty. Didn't catch his name, but he was superb! Room was clean and comfortable.

Room construction wasn't finished. Radiator hadn't been fitted, piping for it was protruding into the room. Wood surrounds on bathroom door were not complete and builders foam exposed. Felt like it should have had another couple of days of work done on it before letting public rent it Bed was really comfortable.

I loved this hotel, the room was so homely, the decor really made you feel good . The food is excellent, with a great choice of menus. The fish is locally caught, I tried the Scollops, and I have never tasted any as nice as these. I also had the steamed Haddock, which was absolutely beautiful. The breakfast was a help your self, and again, it was cooked to perfection . The hotel staff are wonderful people, really friendly and nothing is too much trouble. You are made so welcome that you feel like a part of the family. Thank you so much for making my holiday so nice.

There's nothing not to like, this place is situated in a beautiful place, the people are great hosts, the food is excellent, and the rooms are great.
