Handy for party that was in the hotel

Dark walls, carpet and furniture with low lighting - utterly miserable Scalding hot shower so had to have bath in greasy bath Changing room for pool was Sunday football league standard Attended Xmas party with a group of 26 at the hotel but was not allowed the breakfast as advertised in their Xmas brochure as I booked through Booking.com and they had to pay for that! Won't be returning!

Good service and very good breakfast.

Room was pleasantly large, and the window could be opened for air (Hooray). Nice sofa in front of the TV. Plenty of lamps. The en-suite bathroom was large and clean. Young lady at Reception was pleasant and helpful. Bar area was surprisingly large, and had a good real ale. Breakfast was very good.

Minor negative: the sink taps had to be turned quite a long way to draw water (both hot and cold). The temperature in the shower was difficult to adjust to the right temperature. It was a little too hot. Key card didn't work after breakfast. Had to get staff to let me in. Neverthess I enjoyed my one-night stay.

Great breakfast, good location for attending wedding nearby. Mostly clean and comfortable, spacious, quiet, slept well. Had kettle in room.

The bed was comfortable however we chose a double and it was two singles pushed together. The room needs some attention; curtain hanging off, lots of lights not working and no tv signal. Strange blocked up fireplace is unsightly. Overall needs modernising. Shower hot but very weak.

The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was very nice. The swimming pool was heated which was lovely. The sitting room and big bathroom in the superior double were a great size and nice patio area to sit out if weather is ok. The bar and restaurant are beautifully decorated for Christmas

There was no phone in the room to contact reception, furniture needs up dated in room, electrics need updated in the room, and the heating in the breakfast reception was really quite cold for this time of year, I did mention this but waitress said it was on full.....might be old air con thats not too good....

Staff very friendly. Food excellent Room very spacious
