Lovely old pub with character, perfect location next to the square and some beautiful walks and of course the film location for one of our favourite shows!

The room was comfortable but the fire exit green light by the door was very bright and kept me awake!

As fans of All Creatures Great & Small, and looking for a couple of days away, what better place then heading to Grassington for our trip. Having booked into the Drovers Arms (The Devonshire) via Booking.com, we arrived on Friday afternoon, in the sunshine to a very busy Grassington. Having never been before we headed to the market square, to find it full, so parked at the nearby car park. Once checked in, by the lovely host (sorry didn't get her name), we were shown to our room, the Siegfried Farnon room. The room was cosy, spacious and spotlessly clean. I was able to park the car on the market square once many of the tourists has left for the day, around 5pm. We had booked a table in the restaurant in the evening (after being contacted through Booking.com the week before our stay, as they were busy and wanted us to make sure we had a table). We were looked after by Sophie & Kelsey, throughout the meal, and both were excellent. They were attentive without being over bearing, helpful with the GF options and were able to make amends to the menu with no issue. The two main dishes we had; Hole on the Toad and Pan Fried Chicken Supreme after we had both tried the Creamy Garlic Sautéed Mushrooms for starters. All of the food was exceptional, and one of the best meals we have both had in a while. The portions were ample, and really good value for money. After a stroll around the town, we headed back the The Devonshire for the night. The bed and pillows were comfortable leading to a nice nights sleep. Although above the bar and on the front (overlooking the market square), it was vert quiet all night. Breakfast was just as good as the evening meal. Many choices on the menu and again catered for GF guests. We would look to stay again, and taste the menu again. Overall a great place to stay, and even more special being fans of ACG&S. Thank you to all of the staff who made our stay so welcoming.
