The Yewdale Inn and Hotel Coniston Village

Great location. Helpful and welcoming staff. Completely dog friendly. Good food. We would definitely return here.

Lack of private parking.

Great location, room very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. The place has a lovely atmosphere and the Sunday roasts are spot on. Breakfast was fantastic too.

We were woken quite early 7.30am by hoovering downstairs. Maybe not early for others but was for us. It wouldn’t stop me coming again though.

The room was definitely not a family room. Far too small for more than 2 people. No attention to detail. The shower door wouldn’t close. No shelves in the bathroom. Toiletries had to go on the back of the toilet or on the floor! The entrance door to the room was really difficult to open. The windows were really difficult to close. Couldn’t close them properly so the noise was really loud from outside. Full English breakfast was awful. (Seriously burnt toast. Cold beans. Bacon was like plastic). So much so we gave it a miss on the second day even though it was included.

Unfortunately there was no hot water in our room- a work around was sorted and Richard looked after us as a result- shame as everything else was fine

Staff were just AMAZING...so thoughtful and kind. All went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and welcoming. We ate dinner and breakfast in the hotel and both quality and portion size was exceptional. Cant rate them high enough.

Need some shelves in the bathroom.

Location

The church bell clock chimed every hour, which kept us awake all night - room 9. Not much you can do about it but not acceptable and we would not stay again, particularly at that price.
