The Post House

Location of hotel and breakfast.

Having previously enjoyed staying at this hotel in 2019 and 2022, we booked again. On this occasion, our experience fell far below the standards we had previously enjoyed. Despite specifically requesting a top floor room when booking, we were once again allocated room 101, the same room we had previously asked to be moved from due to excessive noise. We decided to give it another chance, hoping improvements had been made, but sadly this was not the case. The room was very dusty, blankets at the end of the beds were stained, there were also visible stains on the mattresses. The bathroom had a non-functioning extractor fan, black mould, unpleasant odours, and a loose shelf above the sink. The lack of ventilation caused the room to become heavily steamed during showers, making it uncomfortable to use. The television remote did not work correctly, requiring the television to be switched on and off manually at the wall. One of the beds had a severely dipped mattress and creaked excessively, resulting in an uncomfortable night's sleep and back pain each morning. The most significant issue, however, was the noise. Loud music, singing, shouting and general bar noise continued well beyond 11pm on multiple nights, making it extremely difficult to sleep. When we raised this concern with management, we were informed that the premises are licensed until 1:30am, despite guest information indicating the bar closes at 11pm. Had this been made clear before booking, we would have chosen alternative accommodation. It states on booking.com and the hotel website that guests must be quiet between 22:00-08:00, how can this be right? Only compensation offered was complimentary drinks at the bar, which did not address our primary concern of being unable to get a proper night's sleep. The assistant manager advised that if we wanted a refund then we would have to request this through booking.com as they were unable to do this.

The location was perfect . Loved the breakfast very nice selection and choices. . The staff in all departments were excellent.

The stairs for me r a problem but other than that lived everything.

This is our second stay at the Post House and we were very happy with our stay. We were given a family room with views of the Great Orme. Plenty of space to spread out and relax. The Welsh Breakfast was delicious and set us up for the day. Will definitely be booking again. Thanks.

The hotel is in an excellent location for exploring Llandudno. The room was comfortable and perfectly adequate for our stay. The staff were very attentive, friendly, and helpful, and communication was excellent throughout.

The only major downside was that there was no Wi-Fi for the entire three days of our stay. This was quite frustrating, especially as the mobile phone signal was very weak or unavailable at times. As a result, we had very limited internet access during our holiday.
