The Smugglers Inn

The staff were incredible. Georgie and Ellis were welcoming, friendly, polite and helpful at our check in and evening meal and nothing was too much trouble. Nadia at breakfast was lovely too. They were very quick to clear and clean the tables when customers had finished. They all made our stay very special. The location of the Inn is lovely and close to Weymouth too. The Inn itself was quirky and inviting and inside was cosy and warm with lots of nooks and crannys! The room was clean and comfortable and beautifully decorated with lots of goodies on the beverage tray. The dinner and breakfast were plentiful and delicious, very good quality. The staff were very professional, friendly and helpful. Room and bathroom was very comfortable, well equipped, warm and clean. Both Breakfast and evening meal menus were excellent, well-presented and enjoyable

Excellent breakfast which exceeded my expectations, and very friendly service. The room was very cosy, and nicely decorated. Plenty of tea and coffee in the room. Ideal room size considering we had our dog with us.

There was a bit of noise from the bar until 10:30pm as it was Quiz Night. After that it was perfectly quiet.

The hotel was very pretty, the staff were lovely, the bed was actually a large double rather than two singles pushed together, the room was scrupulously clean, there were lots of lovely extras which felt generous, the breakfast was superb. The shower was large and powerful.

Unfortunately the room was very hot in November despite not having radiators on. I think perhaps because it was over or by the kitchen. This was solved by having the window open, but the very loud noise of the kitchen extract made sleep impossible. The extract was turned off from about 9pm? to 7.30am? So if you have evening drinks and an early start for a day out you may not notice it. It's difficult because in so many ways the hotel is really excellent. But it failed in one of the six fundamentals of Comfortable, Power by bed, Dark, Quiet, Clean, working bathroom - without which you don't really have a hotel room - no matter how good everything else is.

Accommodation was good, clean, comfortable, warm and well equipped. Staff friendly and helpful Both Breakfast and evening meals had good menu choices
