Buttermere Court Hotel

Great little inn right on Buttermere Lake with a beautiful waterfall walk right behind the property. Lovely pub and dining experience just downstairs with exceptionally kind staff. Big bathroom with very nice shower and skylight. Great parking and location in town with walking access to shops and cafes. Authentic Lake District experience.

Rooms are a bit dated and you can tell the old carpet has been walked on by many wet hikers. Fresh paint and carpet would go a long way.

The property was in a perfect location, the staff were so lovely especially the lady at breakfast this morning.

Not the hotels fault but staying during a heat wave was tough as there’s no draught in the rooms

Walking distance to the lake, really comfortable seating for dinner and the bar, nice hot water and good pressure, great tv channels.

Stunning location and views. Excellent check in times and parking facilities. Staff were exceptionally friendly and competent and put me at ease as a single female traveller. Great room and comfortable bar.

There was nothing I didn't like. It would have been improved by having umbrellas in the beer garden though there was some shade from trees.

Room was perfect, clean, great view. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food excellent. Amazing location. Easy to access free car parking.

Everything was perfect..no complaints.

Great location

The bar closed quite early and they had been very busy so i was told they had ran out of food. My mattress was too soft for my particular preference and I’d have liked a fridge in my room. Minor things and I did check in later than expected. Plus it was Father’s Day so understandable that they had been very busy

The proximity to the trails and the lake are perfect. So beautiful!
