A lovely warm welcome. Staff were amazing. The room was so comfortable I didn’t want to get out of bed!

WiFi could have been better in the room Music/Speaker in pub could be heard in my room until 11pm Breakfast started at 9am, I had to be in meetings before that time

I got a friendly welcome and the room was excellent. Large and spacious with a large, immaculately clean bathroom, it would have graced a much more expensive hotel. A small detail, but it was nice to have a full sized kettle instead of the mean little ones often found in hotels. The arrangements for access out of hours worked perfectly. Anyone travelling to the wonderful Shakespeare North theatre should stay here as it’s convenient and great value.

As it’s a pub, breakfast doesn’t start till 9am so no good for me as I had to catch an early train.

Perfect location for a little family history visit.

Super clean and well decorated bedrooms. Very comfortable.

I had a 1st floor bedroom and the music from the pub downstairs was a little audible until 10pm. Not very much but noticeable. Sensible ears might prefer a second floor room.

Historic building, good location, friendly staff, great bed Booking.com says no Internet available, but they have free WiFi. They also make the best hummus I have tasted
