A bit neglected. Grounds needs attention.

Nice room though a little dated. Breakfast was very good, parking was free, proximity to Hayling Island was very good, bar area was pleasant. It was a nice walk across the bridge to a very nice couple of pubs.

Carpets in hallway very worn, no air-conditioning, though it wasn't too warm, and they did provide fans. The shower was over a bath, so access a little tricky, but worst of all the shower curtain perpetually sucked in and stuck to me. The bar was rather pricey as was the bar snacks £20.95 for a cheeseburger!

Breakfast was really great. The leisure facilities were good but we weren't able to use the sauna as it was tiny and 4 people packed it out. I'd booked the hotel specifically for the leisure facilities. The pool was nice and a decent temperature. Parking was good and the location was walkable to the pubs in Langstone but a bit far from what I could make out to places on Hayling Island itself. General areas of the hotel seemed well kept and clean.

Housekeeping could've been significantly better. There was a strange slug on the bath, the plug was visibly so full of hair the water backed up. In the morning I went to put my slippers on and caught something shining next to my slippers which were by the bed: it was a needle!!! I'd been to the loo twice in the night so extremely lucky not to have stepped on it. Housekeeping around the pool area was also not up to scratch, with what looked like slime up near the showers.

Pretty much the whole experience... The little touches in the bedroom for the missus's birthday were good!

Place looks rubbish down and chairs carpets need replacing the outside needs a total repaint the cost per bite is high for b/b given the hotel overall stayed in bettter for less money won’t be returning anytime soon
