"A beautiful small hotel, large comfy rooms and great food."

Friendly efficient staff. Generous sized room and en-suite, the room was quiet and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfasts were excellent with a good choice.

Due to the ivy blocking the window we couldn’t open it so the room was a little stuffy and warm.

"Good but the hotel is starting to look a bit tired now."

Breakfast was very good, the room was very large along with the bathroom.

Evening meal- the restaurant had a wedding meal booked so we were given a very early slot with no flexibility at all. We had booked the hotel last year so the hotel could have tipped us off and got us in for food at a more suitable time for us.

"A Country House Hotel right next to the A1"

The site / location was perfect. Whilst within a few hundred yards of the A1 it was perfectly quiet (ie no road noise overnight). The staff were great - a lovely mix of enthusiastic youngsters and experienced more mature. The food was as good as hoped. We really enjoyed our brief stay.

"Wunderschön gelegen, wie im Film."

Der Aufenthalt war Schottland in Reinstform. Landschaftlich traumhaft gelegen, völlige Ruhe, Mitten in der Natur. Die Liebe zum Detail der Traditionellen Einrichtung. Und natürlich das unglaublich freundliche und zuvorkommende Personal haben diese Reise wie in einem alten schottischen Film wirken lassen.
