Hotel Kronprinz

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming hotel, and overall, it was a delightful experience. The hotel boasts a beautiful old-money aesthetic with its classic architecture and elegantly furnished interiors, which instantly transport you to a bygone era of sophistication. The attention to detail in the décor creates a warm and inviting ambiance. The staff at the reception were incredibly helpful and welcoming.

One small hiccup during my stay was that bottled water was not provided in the room, which was a bit surprising given the otherwise high level of service. It’s a minor detail, but something that I think could be easily addressed to make the experience flawless.

Location was central - rooms were very clean.

Breakfast was boring - weak filter coffee that I understand is typical of the area - they did provide gluten free bread rolls but otherwise the breakfast was underwhelming for a 4 star hotel. Water not cooled and left out from previous day, meat dried out ...etc Additionally, the receptionist on Saturday evening was passive aggressive about not having the restaurant open in the declared times of 17:00 till 22:00. We arrived at 19:30 and were down for dinner at 20:00 to be aggressively told that the kitchen was closed and we had to venture out to find dinner - no apologies, emphasizing that we were also not going to have a hope of dinner for the next 2 days due to them being off duty... not at all a good indication. Parking at 12 euro a day was exorbitant - local daily parking is 2.50 euro a day. We will NOT repeat this experience!

Clean and perfect location

Very few plugs and WiFi was so spotty as to be useless. Better for leisure travelers not business travelers

Good location for sightseeing and just a short walk from the railway station. Simple room but very clean with an excellent shower.

Receptionist was upset I couldn't speak German demanding in Germany one should speak German.

Visited Greifswald as part of one of the long distance biking tours. Definitely worth spending time there. Hotel lies in the centre, small walking distance from central market place. Rooms are spacious, staff friendly. Bike could be stored in the inner court.
