Western Isles Hotel

Beautiful hotel with amazing view. The room is spacious and well equipped.

The walk to town requires many steps.

The view from the hotel is just breathtaking (world class) and the main reason for our stay there having been before. The rooms are of a high standard and very comfortable.

Especially booked a sea-facing room (expensive) which we did get however last time we stayed we were on the first floor which has the most sensational views. This time we had a ground floor room (which I didn’t know existed) and whilst the view was still excellent, didn’t match the view from the first floor. Restaurant is OK but facing stiff competition from restaurants who are offering superior quality cuisine and service for the same price. Staff are professional and attentive.

Friendly and helpful staff and the views over Tobermory Harbour. The property has retained its historical quaintness and, although we were blessed with good weather during our stay, there are plenty of communal areas with facilities should the weather turn foul. Breakfast was well presented with a wide range of items on offer and was a great start to each day.

The bedrooms could withstand a deep clean, particularly the bathroom. The dinner menu is somewhat limited and, with the exception of the soup of the day, does not change, therefore if you are staying for more than a few nights it would quickly become exhausted - I also felt that the dinner menu items were quite expensive.
