Had a burger roll the burger was nice but the roll was crumbly, fries not great I ordered pavlova it was 3 tiny mini meringues with cream, nothing like a homemade pavlova! I was very disappointed I won’t be going back again!

Rooms are lovely. Large and clean. Great big car park and large lounge/restuarant.

Hard to find anyone working in the bar/lounge area. Always have to go and look for a staff member. Reception staff look miserable and are not particularly helpful which is a shame as it’s a nice hotel.

Easy walk to montrose basin to see the geese. Cheerful friendly staff, quiet but convivial, and a really superb breakfast with Arbroath smokies and poached eggs.
