The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We had a meal there and were very impressed with the food. My steak was tender and cooked perfectly. My husband had a Guinness glazed rack of ribs -again, the meat was tender and very tasty.

Issues with the shower room. I think the shower had been dripping constantly. When I picked up the towelling shower mat which had been on the edge of the shower cubicle floor it was soaked, making it unusable. We didn’t like the difficult flights of stairs but maybe I should have checked that. The car park wasn’t organised but typical for a local pub in a mixed residential/ shopping area.

Proximity to the port. Staff were friendly and apologetic about state of hotel.

Squalid, dirty and shabby bedroom. Paint peeling off walls, filthy walls, broken handbasin cracked across, impossible to watch TV as every few minutes would show a large code across screen and block viewing of programmes, broken toilet seat and broken door lock in general toilet, sunshades at front of hotel hanging in complete tatters, poor quality food ingredients at breakfast, no electric car charging point at hotel. Dirty shabby hotel..

The welcome from Shakira was warm & welcoming. She works so hard bless her. The room was comfy and spotlessly clean. The bed was lovely, had a great nights sleep. Food in restaurant was good value and service was great. Great location for exploring the area, plenty of bus routes nearby if you dont fancy driving.

Didnt see the sign re shower mat availability until i slipped in the shower, perhaps they should ask when checking in if you require one.
