Building is quite run down, rotting window frames, peeling paint in rooms and stained carpet. Overall sleeping accommodation feels run down

Welcoming and cosy

Everything was perfect

stayed for 3 nights - rooms were small but ok, a little old but ok for what we needed. ate in the pub each night, staff were friendly and polite, food was good, so was the service

pub needs a little work done outside, looking a little shabby - but other than that all ok. Could do with a cobweb day in the bedroom, especially around the windows!

Staff very helpful. The rooms were spacious and beds and bathroom good. There was also plenty of space in the bar and dining areas.

Breakfast was a bit basic and the facility did not have much warmth or ambience. On Monday my wife ordered a croissant - it was underbaked(not properly heated) my daughter ordered porridge but that was not brilliant. I ordered poached eggs on toast; they arrived with the egg yoke solid and the toast cool and dry, initially without butter. We were setting out for a funeral and so just got on with it and did not complain. Breakfast is an important meal and a little improvement in its provision would go a long way to improve customer satisfaction. On Tuesday we limited our order to hot and cold drinks (self service). The staff were unfailingly polite and friendly but the overall breakfast set up needed a bit of tender loving care.

the internet access was shocking we kept being bumped off and could not get access to it after 11pm - do they shut it down when they close the pub? Also the toilet flusher needed pumping b4 it would likely flush = not very efficient at all
