"At £100 a night it was expensive for the rather basic offer"

Location, views, breakfast choices

Single beds seemed super narrow. Pillows were super hard (like sleeping on sand bags) and water / shower in Room 205 was running cold. Staff said it was tank had been emptied by other guests showering …

"A relaxing hotel but the sea view didn't quite deliver on my expectations."

We had a room with a view over the bay. The view was OK but maybe not exactly what I was expecting. The bay itself runs around the cliffs so you get a view of the sea and the opposite side of the bay which is blighted by a large chemical plant / factory but not the actual bay itself. Having said that, the room was very good, large and clean with a decent sized bathroom. Breakfast was very good and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The location is a little isolated but is self contained with a bar and restaurant attached to the hotel.

Checking in was a slow process as the receptionist was trying to sort out something on the telephone and this conversation went on for about 10 minutes so that was a bit painful and likewise there was no-one about when going down for breakfast so again we had a 5 minute wait to be seated and take our breakfast order. We checked in on a quiet Sunday in April so I can't really complain as I guess there was limited staff who were all busy and very apologetic regarding the wait.

"Beautiful location and excellent value"

Lovely room, immaculately clean, comfortable bed and the hotel itself is in a great location. The breakfast was served in a lovely room overlooking Pegwell Bay. Service from all the staff I encountered was excellent, all in all it was a very pleasant stay and I would certainly visit again.

Some dedicated bike storage would have been nice, but even then it wasn't a problem to lock our bikes up outside the hotel in view of the CCTV camera.

Hotel was very very clean. Breakfast was served quickly and staff were pleasent. Dinner was exceptional. Would definately go back.

Outside area was not prepared for breakfast, would have liked to have breakfast looking out at the ocean.

Beautiful side sea view and in morning the field you see with 3 horses in running free and one on his back having a back scratch 😂 Staff were lovely and breakfast was very good with sea views
