Great value & location

Can be noisy late on

I liked that the room has an iron board and iron. The shower and the toilet were really clean. Towels were clean, super white. Car park available but not too far from the city centre.

The bed side table and the table lamp were full of dust. The mattress is uncomfortable, super soft and can feel and hear the springs when you turn in the night. We had only one towel each for 2 nights, no bath products available (only hand soap). The green light for the emergency exit is way too bright! We've been pretty unlucky with other guests, they've been noisy until 2.30am, they've been screaming and going up and down the stairs, that are just outside the room door and we could hear everything!

Horror stay! I’d avoid completely, for starters they messaged me on the day I was meant to travel saying that there were “problems” in the accommodation and so they’ve had to move me to one just a 1 minute drive away, I of course argued this as it was a worse accommodation and their response was just cancel the accommodation (I wouldn’t get a refund) and they full knew that nothing else was available on the day for a similar price point so we were forced to accept. This new accommodation was abysmal, there were stains on the bed sheets and the toilets were shared. When I booked it with Smeaton I was promised private bathrooms. The bathrooms were also leaking water through the light from the ceiling, it was truly in poor condition. Additionally, when we got there I had to wait for 10 mins as they messed up what room I was meant to be staying in. After messing me about this much they didn’t even think to offer any compensation or apologies. Truly terrible experience I’d avoid staying here at all costs.
