Tamasha Hotel

The Hotel was nice. Friendly staff and good service.

One of our bath towels was unclean !!

The Tamasha is India in Bromley. The resturant and bar are steeped in Indian culture with very interesting pictures and artifacts. The welcome started as I walked in and continued throughout my stay. The staff were very polite and helpful. The indian cuisine was also good. If you want a different experience from the usual hotels and you like Indian culture the Tamasha is a great alternative. It is a short walk from the town centre. Value for money

No lift but to be fair there is no room for one

The location was perfect for Bromley and London

The carpets were dirty and sticky, the shower took ages to get warm then scaled me, rooms curtains didn’t go to the edge of the wall so let light in. No air conditioning only a noisy fan which kept me awake most of the night, along with either another guest banging doors or staff.

The menu and environment

My husband (the guest) was upgraded to a double room as the television had broken in the single room. It was comfortable, apart from the bed, and had plenty of room. The coffee served at breakfast was good.

There wasn't the expected buffet. The 'continental breakfast was brought to him with no choice, i.e. corn flakes and boiled egg which he didn't want and only white toast. He was the only guest so it was a bit strange.

The room was not as clean as we would have liked. On arrival we found hair on the bathroom floor and the crumbs on the carpet that were there on arrival were still there when we left after 3 nights. I doubt the carpeted flight of stairs had been vacuumed for a good while. The fire door at the top of the stairs was propped open all the time, which is not acceptable. No sign of any staff to merntion this to.

Friendly staff and personal treatment. You can have good Indian food and the hotel is reasonably priced. Hotel walls are decorated with historical pictures of India.
