Tamasha Hotel

Bed was a comfy hard and batherooms were really nice. Towels, shower gels and hot water. Tea and coffee in room and water which was very helpful. Lots of storage space. Was a little hot but there was a fan to compensate. Room not too noisy at night; slept well. 20 mins safe walk from Station with good connections into London. Was left to our own devices and not hurried out. Honestly was really good for £110 for the night and 20 mins near London. Allowed to come in at any time. Staff friendly :)

Breakfast was 8-8.30am which was a bit early considering been out late but beggars can't be choosers. Don't really get the mid reviews.

Lovely clean room, evening meal excellent, staff really good with my young nephew. Staff helpful re booking taxi. There was an electric fan in the room which was great given the very warm weather.

The shower in the bedroom was ok, but temperature seemed a bit variable and flow similar to an electric shower, this was a very minor issue. The hotel receptionist requested photo i.d. on arrival, I did have my driving license with me so this wasn't a problem, however it would be helpful to know in advance that this is required

As I dine at the restaurant which is exceptional, I assumed their accommodation would be as good or of a standard that complimented them. I booked for two nights. The room had no hangers in the wardrobe when asked, told there are none. When asked for a UK adapter for our phone , was told don't have as guests steal. I was then waived anxiously towards the exit door as the restaurant check in and accommodation is all in the same area. I had friends join me for breakfast which I asked in advance if this was ok and told yes but would be charged which was what I was expecting. Breakfast was basic. We sat down in the restaurant dinning area and were presented with a bowl of corn flakes no alternatives. Then 4 boiled eggs in a basket and a pile of white toast. Very different to what we were all expecting for breakfast.

Mainly the attitude of the staff to staying guests.

The staff and Manager at this Hotel were top people, very accomadating and helpful, they really made us feel at home. The food quality in the restaurant and service was excellent.The place was full of local customers who looked as if they were having a great night, proper Indian food with an authentic twist.Thank you very much to Abu and his lovely team. Shower water pressure, but it didn't spoil our stay.
