The Pear Tree Inn & Country Hotel

Room was ok - bed was 2 singles pushed together

No hairdryer in room. Restaurant/bar not open and only served pre-ordered jacket potatoes for evening meal

Food was very limited - only jacket potatoes available which were OK.

Did seem as though it was shutting down - only one member of staff and restaurant closed. No draught beer. Only continental breakfast available. Poor

Room clean and tidy, breakfast to expensive sorry for poor menu ,

The location was a bit out of the way, we were hoping to have a meal inside but was told only jacket potatoes were available .we asked where could we get a taxi the reception phoned for one fir us as we didn’t have a clue where to go which cost a extra £ 30.00 for a return trip, we got back to the room there was a gentleman coming out of the front door who startled us, we asked if he worked there his reply was yes but just disappeared,and the front door was left unlocked after entering our room to find we had no milk for another cup of tea coffee , my friend went to reception there was no one available, I realised that another car was out the front and another couple came in I asked them any idea where to get milk she told us phone that number on reception desk to get through to someone milk was delivered by someone to us ,breakfast was between 9—10 am which was stated toast yoghurt and fruit price £8.00 p.p as we were vacating our room We did see a gentleman coming we asked where do we need to put keys he told us in that jar on the desk.room was clean and tidy front door also unlocked after dark so didn’t feel really secure I would have been very nervous there on my own to be honest,

Comfortable beds Excellent shower . Spacious room . Good TV

The hotel apoears very rundown almost awaiting closure . Dirty bathroom floor . Dirty bathroom mirror .Hairs in bath Clothes left in wardrobe . No proper dining facilities .
