"Disappointed"

2.0

Easy access from the M5, its a well located place, but run down with lack of staff.

Turned up at reception and a female didn't get her name, was sat in a chair in an office, and looked at us and said yes, Not can I help you, I said I would like to check in. After checking in, there were no towels or toilet paper in the room. They were later provided. Bar and restaurant dont open until 5pm, when I went to get a drink from the bar, they no drinks on the pumps, apparently they had mot had a delivery. We have bottles in the fridge, so I asked for a bottle of corona, that's £5 gave a £10, oh we have no change so bought another. The beer was not cold. Not sure if the restaurant was even open. This hotel needs a revamp and more staff its not very inviting. It felt like the 'Overlook Hotel' in the shining.

"A comfortable stay in a quiet, old-fashioned country hotel with extensive grounds"

8.0

Quiet, rural location, yet close to M5. Extensive grounds, with own lakes, and views of the Malvern Hills. Plenty of car parking space. Convenient for driving into Worcester or Droitwich.

Breakfast was basic - cereal, toast, coffee, fruit, yoghurt. There's currently no restaurant on site, so one has to drive out for lunch or evening meal. Some fixtures and fittings are showing their age.

"Fine for a one night stop but would not have breakfast there again!"

8.0

The room was larger than expected - a small 2 room suite. The Greek restaurant which had the franchise there was good and very reasonably priced.

There appeared to be very few guests in a large establishment and only one member of staff to cover reception, bar and restaurant. The breakfast was very expensive for a simple buffet. We were the only guests having breakfast.

"The hotel has such potential, but is totally let down by minimalistic standards."

4.0

Location was exactly 1/2 way to our final destination and gave a welcome pause en route.

The hotel was exceptionally cold. There were only 4 guests in the whole hotel including ourselves, so all heating in the public rooms/reception was off. There was no heating in the room on arrival. Not a great welcome.
