"Amazingly clean and friendly. With the best views and bar in town."

10.0

The best location in Ramsgate and if you arrive through the from bar up the slope from the multi storey car park you get to see the great history of the place - and the amazing silverware. The key pads and no need to have a key with you is great for access and a swift check out. Close to great restaurants and look forward to maybe dining on site one day.

Nothing. You have to be able bodied but that is clear and the stairs can be a climb.

"This was without exaggeration the most neglected ive ever felt in a hotel. A deeply dissapointing stay defined by neglec"

The location is superb

The main reason for booking the property was lo enjoy the view of the harbour from the champagne bar terrace, we arrived at 20.30 only to find the bar and the main doors locked. There was a member of staff who very kindly waited for us to arrive to give us entry codes to access the building/room. When she went off duty there was no one on duty in the hotel. In the morning we had been told we could expect a cup of tea on the “champagne terrace” but it was all locked and we were unable to find any members of staff. We left the premises feeling dissabused.

The location aand view from the terrace.

I had a single room with a shared bathroom. with one other person. I was very dubious about sharing a bathroon but was assured by a member of staff before I booked the room that it was cleaned every day. The toilet was separate from the shower room the toilet was heavily soiled over the weekend whilst i stayed there and it was not cleaned for two days over the weekend and there were no staff available to inform of this over the weekend. It was only cleaned on Sunday evening after I complained to bar staff. I also could not work out how to use the shower as it didn't turn on. I only found out on Sunday that the system had tripped and that you then needed to pull the chord by the door. It is not really a hotel as staff are only there from when the bar opens and it closes early at 8pm and it shouldn't be called this. It is essentially a yacht club with a few guest rooms. There are no dining facilities and no breakfast, only tea and coffee is provided in the rooms. I stayed there because I was informed on the internet that there was a cruising social on the second Friday of each month and that it was very sociable and I had hoped to make contact with the locals as I was thinking of moving to Ramsgate as a single woman. However, it was completely dead that evening just a few elderly. men sitting and drinking beer and only a few elderly men and couples frequented the bar whilst I was there. i would not have chosen to stay at the club had i known this beforehand and i would never stay there again. I thought it was very pricey at £70 a night for a very basic single room and shared bathroom. I would have been much better off staying at the Travelodge as the double rooms with ensuite were cheaper. I have to say this is the worst experience I have had staying in a hote
