Hotel Garni Traube

Without breakfast.

There is constant noise from the junction so you have to keep the windows closed all the time but there is no air conditioning in the room so it is unbearably hot in the summer. So missing air condition is a very big problem. The restaurant is no longer exists (from November 2023).

This is a nice quiet hotel in a small village. Good room, clean and well equipped. There was a bit of traffic noise at night as it is next to a roundabout but ideal location for visiting Friedricshafen. I was given a complimentary bus pass and the bus service was excellent.

Easy communication with the staff, especially for the out of time check-in

The hotel is placed in front of a very busy roundabout. The road was noisy, almost all night.

Comfortable, clean and reasonably priced. A little out of town but regular, free bus service goes from outside the hotel. Lovely bakery across the road for breakfast.

The hotel restaurant was not open and there is not much else in the area for dinner or a beer.

Good standard room, very clean. Tasty and very nicely presented breakfast. A very nice and helpful owner whom I would like to thank for helping me with a minor repair of the bike (I lost a screw from the fender and he looked for a new one in his workshop and gave me a new one). I experienced not only above-standard service (free safe storage of bicycles in the garage) but also human kindness. When I go again to cycle around Lake Constance - one of the stops will definitely be in this hotel.

A bit old-fashioned facilities, but all in good shape; room rate a bit too expensive….
