Great Trethew Manor Hotel & Restaurant

We loved Badgers retreat! We stayed 2 nights over the back holiday and it exceeded our expectations. 2 beautiful double bedrooms, both with en-suite facilities, full kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine - everything was brand new and lovely

The owner shared a couple of issues with us before we checked in (snagging really as the lodge is brand new). This was appreciated

A loverly well equipped lodge. Perfect a family. The staff were fantastic and as we had had car trouble and was waiting a replacement, they looked after our luggage all day so we could still go into Looe and the local Monkey Sanctuary as planned. Thinking of coming back and using it as a base to explore more of Cornwall.

We really liked the lodge we stayed in “Oak Lodge”. It’s close to local areas of interest and perfect for the family. There is a local Morrisons, which we got food to cook as all plates, bowls, glasses, saucepans are provided. We also loved that board games were provided and we had a lovely evening playing them. Was great to get the kids off their phones! Also, a lot of peacocks. The kids loved seeing them. We wished we had booked more nights here and will definitely be returning. This is a great gem of a find.

There really isn’t anything to not like about the lodge. I would say be very careful on the drive in, as there are a few pot holes and the drive itself is only wide enough for 1 car. We got caught a few times by cars coming the opposite direction.
