Room smelt a little fausty/damp maybe from the bathroom.?

My partner was doing the Fred Whitton, I tagged a log for a stay in Grasmere. It was a last minute booking so we don't usually spend that much on a hotel, but thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!. Staff were sooo friendly and accommodating. The room was ready two hours earlier, so they let us check in, at no extra cost. They prepped Nathan a packed breakfast as he was up at 5am for his race. We got room service- food was delicious! Enjoyed the spa facilities. Breakfast was also delicious, they even provided sausages and endless treats for our dog- extremely dog friendly stay! Perfect location. We were lucky with the parking and claimed the last space, could've been an issue if we'd arrived any later, maybe.

Lovely location with good bus links to other towns.

Bathroom had glass windows in the bedroom which lacked privacy. Although windows had slight frosting on them you could still see a person sitting on the toilet!

A great place to stay - the room was excellent! The staff were friendly and helpful. Enjoyed a meal and a few pints at the bar & breakfast was another bonus. Would definitely stay again.
