"Looks good in photos but bad design and maintenance issues mar the experience."

7.0

A nice old building which has been modernised. Ample parking and well kept exterior and parking. Nice little seating area to front. Friendly hosts. Decent smart TV. Modern 'boutique' styling. Although breakfast is not included there are full drinks making facilities, yogurts and pastries provided.

We stayed in room 2. It's a decent enough sized room, however the layout is totally wrong. The door into the room won't open fully as it hits the foot of the enormous stylised bed. Also, one side of the bed is so close to the outside corner of the en-suite that it's a problem getting past. A clothes rail is provided but only a single coat hanger.... The ensuite is the absolute minimum size you could fit in a shower, toilet and sink. But that means a one foot gap between the front of the toilet bowl and the radiator in front. This was made worse by the fact that the toilet seat was very loose. These two things together make it downright dangerous. Due to the toilet design it isn't possible to tighten the lid fasteners without removing the bowl from the floor. It was obvious that a previous bodge had been attempted with silicone sealant. Most of the grouting between the shower tray and tiles was missing, so water was going down there and coming out elsewhere in the room. Extractor fan not working. Looking at the marks on the ceiling from the condensed water, it's not been working for some time. Fancy mirror on the wall in the en-suite which has an inbuilt light that doesn't work. This was because it wasn't wired up and wires visibly dangling. It's on a very busy road which has traffic on it at all times so it can be a bit noisy if you want to open the windows.

It was clean and tidy.

There were no biscuits. It was classed as a bridal suite not a bridal room. It wasn’t what we expected really. Quite disappointed.

3.0

Pretty from the outside. Small tidy carpark right near front door which was good

Front door jamming On door frame so getting door unlocked & into property was a bit on a hassle especially in the Rain No TV during stay as remote control missing so was told to download a fire stick remote on to my phone to use TV but Wi-Fi signal is so poor it wouldn’t download so no good to use Shower floods bathroom floor as no door on it (room 2) Toilet seat was broken and you have to sit on toilet sideways as bathroom so small & there is a radiator on the wall right in front of toilet No mention on Road traffic noise on website which again was annoying as room in near Main road

"Over priced & dirty"

4.0

Not much to like

Our room #5 was dirty there were 6 dead flys on window cills and 1 on the bed -- carpet had not been hoovered lots of visible debris including sequins ( must have been previous guest ) toilet seat in a very cramped bathroom was broken ... towel rail didn't get warm Bathroom floor flooded when showering.Room was very dark only 2 hanging bulbs with shades. All dark old furniture quite depressing room with a slight musty odour It was a very noisy room there is a cockerel Near by that crowed from 5 am non stop . Room 5 is on the front of the building on the main road its very noisy as its a busy road traffic is non stop. There is no reception or receptionist , it's basically a converted house and you are left to fend for yourself... very disappointed in this property it was not as big as pictures suggest , over priced & dirty very disappointed with this property .
