GBThe staff and food were the highlight of this visit. The staff were informative, friendly and generally very welcoming. The food was fresh, locally sourced and of very high quality. The staff were always happy to make adaptations to the menu, the fresh bread and varieties of butter were an unexpected highlight. The swimming pool, games room and garden enhanced our visit and we made use of all of the facilities. All in all we had a very enjoyable time.
The location is tranquil, stunning views, and relaxed atmosphere. The staff were exceptionally attentive and the food was out of this world. Complementary homemade breads, beautifully presented starters, mouth watering rare beef, served with goose fat potatoes, truffle cauliflower cheese, and selection of at least four other fresh vegetables. Not a silly price at £18 for 1 course, £25 for 2 courses and £30 for 3 I cannot rate this place highly enough 10/10
GBGBAmazing hotel, perfect location, lovely swimming pool with a jacuzzi & steam room.i felt very relaxed. The food is amazing hands down the best ive ever had ! Would definitely stay there again ! I walked there from dartmouth along the coastal path stayed the night then went for a swim down the road at blackpool sands in the morning before walking back to dartmouth. Perfect get away 👌 😍
I loved everything
We stayed as a couple and dog for 3 nights in September. This is a homely and friendly country hotel in a lovely position with great facilities - excellent bar area, lounge and restaurant. Good value for a very comfortable room. Rolling refurbishment is being subtly carried out to further upgrade all rooms, bathrooms and general areas. With 2 swimming pools and dog friendly, what is there not to like! But it’s the people that make it really special - family owned and run by Alex and Myles with support and further experience from their parents on both sides. The staff seem to be a further extension of family, eager to help and very personable. Special mention to Corrie on reception for her help and also to the amazing chef - the restaurant serves excellent fine dining food - amazing quality and beautifully presented! Worth a visit here for that alone!
GBLocation is lovely, garden and outdoor pool area very pretty, the hotel generally has a happy and homely feel. Being dog friendly, having swimming facilities and the most helpful and friendly staff are all key attributes.
If I have to be picky, a few areas (incl. our bathroom) are tired (but acceptable and perfectly functional), however we are aware of the ongoing/rolling refurb to some areas. That said, everything worked, everywhere was spotlessly clean and comfy.

GBGBThe staff were so accommodating they had our room ready and cleaned before check in time as we were due to arrive for a wedding that was beginning the same time as the check in time. The room was beautiful, very clean and very comfortable!
