Hunters Meet

Fantastic location, staff and facilities.

We had a beautiful 4 poster bed which unfortunately was very uncomfortable. Two mattress used stacked on top of each other meaning the bed was very unstable and difficult to settle. The top mattress seemed good quality and comfortable, not sure why stacking it on top of another was needed.

Friendly staff, just what we needed for an one night stay.

My partner and I had a really lovely stay in the Hunters Meet. We were over in Bishop's Stortford visiting some friends. On arrival we had a very warm welcome from the owner Brendan and all of his extremely friendly staff. The room was spacious and immaculately clean and we absolutely loved our comfy four poster bed. It is a really beautiful location and they have some stunning grounds with beautiful flowers, trees and shrubs. We were very lucky to have an outside sitting area for our morning coffee. We used the leisure centre each day the pool isn't very deep but it was lovely temperature to swim in and do a few exercises. There is a lovely steam room and sauna there too. My partner loved the gym it was so therapeutic and a few steps away from our room. I couldn't get over the cooked breakfast it was absolutely delicious. The owner said it was all locally sourced. Brendan and all the staff couldn't do enough for us they went above and beyond to make our stay a pleasurable one. Exceptional value for money. All in all I highly recommend the Hunters Meet for anyone going to Stansted Airport or anyone visiting the Bishop's Stortford area. Thank you to Brendan and all his wonderful staff for a very enjoyable stay. We will definitely be back please God. 🤗

If I had to find one thing it would be the door to the building where room was situated could have a hook to hold open when trying to get out with luggage

We will come back. I never put 10, asaoart from the staff, exceptional, nothing g is perfect. We are returning next year

Slight mould smell by my bed, near the window. Rm 24. Gym n pool just needs a good clean. Rooms were clean though. Need to drive for facilities, shops.

Lovely family ran establishment. Everyone is super friendly.

Great welcome. Stayed in coach house, do not too noisy.

Disappointed that we couldn't have a bar meal in the evening - there was a band on and it was very noisy and busy in the bar area and no restatuarant option. We were offered the chance to eat in the bar, but didnt feel very welcome. Limited choice of options at breakfast.
