Hunters Meet

The staff were friendly and very helpful. The food was lovely and reasonably priced. It was pasta Thursday when we stayed. There was plenty of choice for us to choose from, with desserts to follow. If you are in a large group of people and have to leave before your party, make sure they know and you get your hot breakfast first, as it is freshly cooked and there may only be one person serving during the week. The hotel had a relaxed feel about it. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. You need to double lock the door when you leave the room, it does not automatically lock when you close it. The signal on the TV is not good. My family were either side of us and said that could not hear us talking although we were not sure if anyone below us could hear the creaky floor board in room 27 (not a problem for us). The pool area was lovely. We did not realise that there was a button in the corner where the underwater in-built seat was (we thought it was a step) to turn on the jacuzzi. There are foam tubes on the left-hand side of the steam room if you need them. There is also the button on the left-hand side of the steam room to turn it on and off, it was great once we realised that it was not automatic (it does not help when you do not have your glasses on). If you use the lockers, there is a coin connected to the key fob for you to take off to put in the door slot to lock it (the coin needs to go back on the key fob). You need to bring your own towels for the pool, unless you want to use the ones from your room. The picturesque village is in walking distance with some places to eat and a mini-supermarket. We enjoyed our stay in Hunters Meet, thank you.

Limited menu choice on the day we stayed, rooms don't seem to have a lot of sound insulation you can hear other residents talking & moving around in their rooms.
