The Bear Inn

The Loft is a gorgeous room. Staff were really friendly and helpful. The Bear was right by where we were working too

A couple of things needed cleaning, we hadn't got spoons for tea making. Nothing major wrong though.

The staff were exceptional I'm their service and friendly approach on an extremely busy weekend

There was noisy machinery running on and off all night outside the loft room window.

Location was perfect. Staff were friendly and accommodating.

Unfortunately the shower was filthy with lots of mould, the ceiling lights were covered in dust. Being a pub it was very noisy at night as we were directly above the bar area.

Awesome loft room with exposed beams, lots of character, comfy bed. Separate generous bathroom. Just need to be careful with door heights if you are tall since this is an old old building, so you could bump your head.

shower kept dripping, soap dispensers needed refilling (really tiny niggles). The Bear Inn does not provide beakfast.

We went to the Bear Inn primarily for the food. We wanted to stay somewhere that served good vegan food and lots of choice. We were not disappointed. There were many dishes to choose from as well as good vegan wine choices and knowledgeable staff. Being a pub on a busy road, you wouldn't expect it to be luxurious or quiet at night. However, visiting just after the Llandovery in Bloom competition, it did look very pretty.

Excellent location at the heart of Llandovery. Reasonable room prices. We used public parking which is literally opposite the road and it was very cheap. Good comfortable stay and sleep. Helpful staffs. The pub offers good food. Overall relaxing and happy stay.

Stairs didn't bother us all. But would definitely cause problems to elderly or people with mobility issues. The bathroom has a macerator which is noisy. The shower cubicle was good, but the toilet was small.
