La Sagesse Hotel, Restaurant and Beach Bar

Lovely location and good food

We loved the rooms, view, location, ambience and decor, food, staff, everything!

Unbelievably friendly thanks largely to the owners Mike and Lynn, who go out of their way to welcome you, remember your name and then persuade you to join them every morning (after breakfast) for a fabulous morning walk, when they take you on different trails around the hotel and tell you all about the local area, people and history. As a result everyone gets to know one another and there is a really friendly - but not intrusive - atmosphere you won’t find anywhere else. The location is magnificent on one of Grenada’s best beaches - you’re so close to the water’s edge you can practically jump out of your room into the ocean.

It’s slightly isolated but that’s not really a problem because you won’t want to go anywhere else. The breakfasts, lunches and dinners are simple but freshly cooked and you can taste the difference from the mass-produced food at most beachside hotels.

With only 12 rooms available, this hotel and restaurant is truly 'Boutique'! Mike & Lynn and their staff really care about your experience at La Sagesse and so their guests have been coming back year after year. Located away from the busy Grand Anse resort area, here you can connect with all the quiet natural beauty that Granada has to offer. If you like a beach with palm trees but no crowds, great food and warm service you won't be disappointed at La Sagesse!

beautiful hotel in a beautiful location

The hotel is in a spectacular and very tranquil setting. The beach is really splendid. The grounds and rooms are immaculately clean. The staff are all really friendly and helpful, and they treat you like family. The restaurant serves excellent food, and the fresh catch of the day is unfailingly delicious. Very good [a la carte] breakfast. Good selection on the menu. Portions could be a little more generous though....

Wonderful location right on the beach. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful fresh fish every day for lunch and dinner with fresh produce and specially cooked food. It is quiet and idyllic.

Could not stay long enough.
