Hotel New Star

Very kind and helpful hosts, very good location of the hotel. We were alone at the hotel so had a private terrace with the view to the castle.

Not so much space in the room, was a bit cold when we arrived, not so comfortable bed and pillows.

I am writing this evaluation in Booking.com for the first time because I appreciate the people at the hotel. 1, Introduce a nice car driver, Max I told them that I would like to go to Vardzia, they introduced Max. He drove us not only to Vardzia but also to historical places and photo spots we had not known. In addition, the price was low for what he had done for us. Thanks to him, we were able to fully enjoy our trip. 2, Diana’s Hospitality When I found a laundry, she took care of the laundry. Thanks to them, I love Georgia even more.

There is no curtain between the toilet and the bath.

The host couple is very friendly and warm. When we checked in, they welcomed us kindly with hot coffee and light refreshments. We wanted to go to Vardzia so we asked them how to get there. They introduced us to a taxi guide operated by a friend of theirs and we used this. This guide truly exceeded my expectations! Maxo, our taxi guide, took us not only to vardzia but also to many amazing places that we would not have been able to go to if we had not taken a taxi. He was friendly and explained the relevant information about each place to us. The guide's price was totally reasonable and we were really satisfied with it. If you are planning to go to vardzia, I highly recommend this guide to you. The accommodation was clean and the location was great too. It was perfect for us. I highly recommend this accommodation. If I go to Akhaltsikhe again, I will stay here without hestitation. Thank you again to both the hosts and guide!

Restroom too small and not so clean.

My husband and I can’t say enough about hotel New Star. The owners David and Diana were the nicest people and took great care of us. Diana bakes these amazing Georgian breads and pastries and was always offering us some or a coffee/tea. They would ask our plans for the day and recommend things for us to see in the area. We even sat and talked with them and their friends for hours one night. The property was located right next to Rabati castle, so very conveniently located. The room was clean and comfortable. I highly recommend staying here!
