Great location, very clean, huge space.

Heat was an issue - no way to get it cooler - the thermostat didn't seem to do much. opened the windows onto the street, but that got loud. didn't know how to check in or who to meet - it wasn't clear.

Doubtfully you will find more fascinating place to stay in Tbilisi. A historical building, 1905 mansion of a famous philanthropist, that has become a Writer’s residency and today - a museum of Literature. Not your soul-less hotel chain BS. Place with a spirit, that shifts you back in time. And that secret garden with a gigantic cedar tree! Top service, lots of genuine care and hospitality. Absolutely recommend!

I am absolutely delighted with the hotel! The building was built in 1905, the style and interior elements have been preserved, a complete aesthetic pleasure! The very hospitable and helpful hotel manager sincerely cares that your stay goes smoothly and comfortably. The guests of the hotel have the opportunity to visit the museum of repressed writers on the floor below, a very impressive exposition. There is an option for self-washing and ironing clothes, or you can order this service from the hotel staff. I lived in John Steinbeck room and attach photos of it. But every room is same nice. Absolutely amazing place. I definitely recommend it!

You just need to know that sometimes it takes a couple of minutes to wait for the hot water to run. But this is absolutely not a problem.

Месторасположение в центре Тбилиси. Очень интересная история дома-музея. Приятный номер, мы жили в номере имени Дюма. С 2017 у обычных туристов, далеких от мира искусства, появилась возможность проживать в действующем доме-музее и приобщиться к прекрасной истории владения хозяина-магната начала 20 века. На первом этаже музея при выходе во внутренний двор выложена плитка Valleroy&Boch из одной партии, которая была уложена на знаменитом Титанике. Обязательно закажите экскурсию, для постояльцев она бесплатна, но на английском языке.

Отсутствие лифта заставило немного попотеть, поднимая чемоданы на 4й этаж и спуская их при выезде. Очень шумно ночью, так как окна выходят на улицу с барами и веселыми грузинами и туристами. Невозможность припарковать автомобиль, все время было занято, парковали машину на платной парковке на параллельной соседней улице за 20 лари за ночь. Скудный завтрак. Подтекала душевая кабина.

It’s hard to explain. But if you’re looking for an atypical place with plenty of old world charm…. You have to stay here, it is amazing. I had an enormous bohemian garret to stay in! Breakfasts are lovely. Surrounded by history and museum and art and culture and beautiful courtyard garden and separate restaurant….. please please stay here you will not regret it!!!!!

Although authentically dim lighting it would have been good to have had one spotlight to turn on if wanted

What can I say for such a special place full of history... I felt privileged to spend two nights here. Plus, good breakfast & location.

The museums could be improved, I mean the collection and English language explanations.
